Billy Bob Thornton

Billy Bob Thornton is a creative force on many levels. He is an actor, producer, screenwriter, director, singer, songwriter, drummer, and an artist.
In 1997, Thornton received a Best Actor nomination for his role as Carl Childers in the movie Sling Blade, which he also penned, and won the Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay. Two years later, he received his second Oscar nomination for Best Actor in the A Simple Plan.
The actor has continued to win awards throughout his career, to include a Golden Globe win in 2014 for Best Performance by an Actor in a Miniseries (Fargo)and Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series-Drama (Goliath) Golden Globe win in 2016.
Billy Bob’s musical aptitude took root long before he stepped in front of the camera, beginning with his first band while still in high school. His skills progressed over the years, and Billy recorded his first solo album in 2001. He would follow that with three more albums before joining forces with other talented musicians, forming “The Boxmasters” in 2007.
Adding to his seemingly endless array of talents, Mr. Thornton is now a represented artist at the Bilotta Gallery in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. His art skills were spawned during his high school days while sitting, bored, in class. Rather than listening to his teachers, Billy would doodle on his desk, sketching out the edgy characters that have stayed with him through the years and are now the subjects of his collective works of art.
