“Jasper”
On a trip to New Orleans one summer, my husband and I were walking around town and passed by a nursery. We peeked in and saw this adorable terrier sitting and patiently waiting for his owner as they shopped. The leash was tied to the front of the wagon (a classic Radio Flyer) and the owner was returning with some potted flowers to take home. We stopped and said hi. He was very friendly and very attentive. The courtyard of the nursery was made up of large terracotta tiles. I purposely made them almost shimmer with multiple colors. I offset Jasper to the left hand side of the work to balance out the partial red wagon view. He was a very memorable dog.
