Ken on Park Bench
Coincidentally, my husband Ken’s father was also an avid photographer just like my Dad. Having 4 children, he took a lot of pictures. This picture was taken when Ken was 4 years old at the neighborhood O’Brien Park located on East McNichols Road (6 Mile Road) in Detroit where he grew up. I used a black and white approach on this work to accentuate a vintage look. A child sitting on a park bench looking off to the side – what was he looking at?
This piece hung in our home in Los Angeles and then also Laguna Beach. When we moved to NYC we couldn’t take this with us.
We live in a small apartment and don’t have the wall space like we did in CA.
They have been in storage in Orange County and we decided last month that we would rather have them out in the world for people to enjoy them .
