“Green and Red Peppers” is an oil on canvas and the overall framed size is 25.5″ x 31.5″.
A couple of years ago, my husband and I took a 6 week driving trip throughout the West and Northwest. As we turned towards home from Vancouver, we stopped in Seattle to take in the sights. We stopped at Pike’s Market in Seattle for lunch and to explore. I took photos in the produce section. I have an extensive file of photos and thought I wouldn’t use them, however one day they looked just right for a series of brightly colored canvases. I really enjoyed working with the bright reds, deep reds, and yellows. Creating these paintings was very satisfying because they were completed in a relatively short period and I was able to explore color and perspective in a representative manner.
