“Blinded By What Could’ve Been” is 24″x24″ and is acrylic and spray on a gallery wrapped canvas.
As an artist, I personally embrace the idea of going against type. Where most artist will embrace color, I choose to use it sparingly to get my point across just as I do with the titles. And this piece couldn’t be a better example. I think it would be fair to say most people have regrets. Maybe it was a job you didn’t accept or a relationship that didn’t take. Sometimes the path ahead can feel uncertain and mute almost as if the future isn’t as bright as it once felt while the rearview mirror is filled with color and hope. And regardless of the scenario, it’s easy to take your eyes off the road in front of you and look in the rearview and reminisce in what could’ve been.
